Vintage Ercol Windsor Carver Restored

We have shown the chair in its various stages of restoration with our photographs. 

Hours of stripping by hand, have removed the original faded finish, no chemicals used.

The chair was then sanded, mostly by hand before using an ebony stain to mimic the original finish. Then it was finally sealed with 3 coats of lacquer. I have used both Satin for its strength & durability with a final coat of Matt to knock back the shine and give it a more modern appearance.
