Reclaimed Oak table

From a Victorian tilt top table to a mid century inspired coffee/side table.

After many unsuccessful attempts to mend a a wonky base on a Victorian tilt top we saved the top and ditched the uneven base.

We planed and re-jointed the quarter sawn Oak planks and reshaped the edge of the ‘new’ table top, made a new base from Ash and Beech. The top has been oiled using Gilboys Hardwax oil and coated with a final layer of Gilboys organic beeswax polish. The base has been painted in black satin paint for a modern twist.

It can now take pride of place in any contemporary setting.
