Mid century desk/console up-cycle

When we first came across this teak piece it was in very bad condition the top was full of deep gouges exposing the chipboard under the veneer, and it was also minus the drawer.

So we removed the top and replaced it with a new custom made solid Ash one made a new drawer.

The base and drawer were then painted dark grey to marry the old and new components. The new Ash top was sealed with a Hardwax oil and finished with a final coat of organic beeswax polish.

Now a perfect place to work from or to indulge your latest hobby or pop behind your sofa and adorn with a beautiful vase of flowers or your favourite lamp.
