Ercol children’s chair.
Ercol children’s chair.
This Ercol chair still has the utility mark intact and dates from around the 1940’s.
We renovated this piece by removing the original dark stain finish and paint from the former owner to reveal the beautiful Elm seat grain and Beech frame which we then oiled to seal and protect the wood. This is a long painstaking process, but in my opinion totally worth it! There is some slightly darker staining around the utility mark in order to maintain it’s integrity. We don’t use harsh chemicals, just lots of hard work!
This is a classic Ercol Windsor chair that has simply been cut down to size to suit a child. We have included a photo with a later Ercol Windsor chair (full height) for comparison.
This piece is of solid construction and has no loose joints or wobbles.
The chair would make a perfect addition in a reading nook or any room in its new home in its new natural finish.
